Orchid Suite (Claremont house) provide a short-stay care service.
Claremont House is located on Brighton Street, near the centre of Heckmondwike,and is close to shops, banks, cafes, pubs and markets.From Heckmondwike town centre there are regular bus services to Dewsbury, Batley,Cleckheaton, Bradford and Leeds.
Our staff are trained to treat residents whose diagnosis of dementia means that they need extra support and understanding.Our homes offer security and safety in a home-from-home environment.Our experienced staff work closely with families during what can often be a worrying time.We work with advocacy services andcommunity mental health teams and are advocates for the council’s Dignity in Care campaign.

Every resident in our care homes has their own personal support plan. The resident is involved in the planning of their care and, if they wish, the family too.

Smoking is allowed in the Gardens
All our residents enjoy modern, spacious, comfortable accommodation – private single rooms with specially equipped en suite facilities. Each room has, as standard, a wardrobe, lockable drawer space, armchair, profiling bed and desk. Residents are welcome to bring small items of furniture and other personal belongings with them to make them feel more at home.

Our attractive grounds provide our residents with regular access to fresh air and exercise,both vital to their health and wellbeing.We also encourage any residents who wish to exercise their ‘green fingers’!
Claremont House also has a warm and comfortable conservatory to enjoy the outdoors indoors!
We have comfortable lounges, offering residents the option of sitting with friends to play games and chat, or to sit in peace to enjoy reading or watching television or even have a nap.

Religion - We will always support any residents who continue to practice their faith during their stay with us. Any visits to religious services outside of our care homes will need to be arranged by family or friends.
