Northfield Manor provides care (including nursing care) and accommodation for up to 45 older people. The home is situated in a residential development on the outskirts of the market town of Driffield. Bedrooms are mainly single occupancy but there are seven shared bedrooms, two of which are used as singles. There are extensive and well maintained gardens where lots of gardening activity takes place in greenhouses and flower beds in the finer weather and summer months. There is a large decking area off one of the lounges where people can sit and enjoy the sun or shade. The large dining room also provides a focal area for activity and socialising. The service has a separate unit for people with a dementia type illness, where they have their own separate and secure garden and all single occupancy bedrooms.
