Chatsworth is registered to provide residential accommodation and personal care for a maximum of 26 people who may also have dementia or a physical disability. Chatsworth is an award winning well established private home. The proprietors and Manager have many years experience in the care sector and pride themselves on the high standards and warm welcoming homely atmosphere.
We cater for 26 residents all with various different ailments and illnesses which may include Dementia, Stroke, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Physical disabilities as well as providing Palliative care for our residents who are at end of life. A majority of our residents have Dementia although all at various different stages.
Chatsworth is a very diverse home which ensures that we adapt to our residents ever changing care needs, this enables us to ensure that the care that we provide is person centred to each individual resident--we feel it is important to base our care around the residents wants and needs rather than the resident fitting in with our routines. We strive to encourage a full and active lifestyle where possible.
Chatsworth is in an excellent location which has bus stops right outside and is in very close vicinity to local shops, parks and churches as well as Plymouth City Centre. Although we are a privately run home we do also accept Local authority payments as well as voucher scheme payments, we do not ask a third party top up.
Chatsworth has well trained staff who are dedicated in ensuring that the residents are treated and assisted with privacy, dignity and respect at all times--as well as ensuring they are safe and happy.
the current awards that we hold are The Dementia Quality Mark, Six Steps to Success (End of Life Care), Investors in people. Throughout our many CQC inspections over the years we have always been rated as an excellent home.
Chatsworth is a well maintained mdern home. We have a large lounge which is light and airy with a large wide screen television.

We have a car park attached to the home. Chatsworth is in a central location with bus stops in either direction right outside the front of the home.
When entering our car park there is disabled access at the first door that you arrive at, this door has grab rails on either side and is easily accessible for wheelchairs.
We have a ramp available to enable staff and residents to come and go onto the patio with ease.
We have chairlift acces on all floors which staff assist with.
All toilets and bathrooms are suitable for residents with disabilities and can be adapted to suit their needs.

We accept residents who are private/ local authority or using the voucher scheme--we do not ask a third party top up.
We encourage residents to visit for a day or two or to try a months trial period.
We do accept residents for respite care but this can only be done at short notice as we do not keep beds available specifically for respite.
We encourage relatives and residents to visit the home at any time to view--an appointment is not needed.

We like our residents to live at Chatsworth as they did at home. We encourage residents to maintain their independence and to carry on doing the things they loved before moving in with us.
Relatives can visit at any time.
We have weekly hairdressing on site--6 weekly chiropodist, annual visits from opticians and dentists.
We have Wi-Fi internet access throughout the home and encourage families to keep in contact via email and skype wherever they are in the world.
