Hillcrest House Nursing Home has a highly qualified team of Managers and professional nursing staff, able to personally assess each residents' nursing, medical and dietary needs, ensuring every resident receives the best possible care and treatment available - 24 hours a day. There is also a dedicated team of trained Care Assistants and support staff. Offering exceptional care since 1989.
Trevena is a self-contained wing providing warm, reassuring surroundings for those with dementia. Managed by specialist staff with a passion for dementia care and high standards.
Not everyone needs full nursing care, Hillcrest House offers residential care within a ground floor wing with easy access outside. Residents have peace of mind of knowing, that if needed, nursing care is on hand. There is a busy team of activity staff for those who wish to participate.
Also short stays and respite/convalescent care. The home has a dignity champion. Staff are selected for their individual experience and aptitude and their genuine desire to give the loving care and support extended to all residents. With the highest standards of in-house and external training.

Hillcrest House is on The Barbican area of Looe. this has level access along to shops and local facilities. There is a bus stop near the home on Barbican Road and the Rail Station in Looe goes to Liskeard and then links to the main lines. There is level access into the gardens which go round the home and also a secure garden in our Dementia Unit to allow free outside access during nice weather. The wide corridores make moving about on foot or by wheelchair easy and there is a lift between floors

Hillcrest House endevours where ever possible to visit and assess any potential resident. we also encourage visits if possible to the home from the client and relatives/friends. Hillcrest House does accept emergency admissions within our policies as long as certain criteria are met. Referals accepted through both social services and Health Authority. Private admissions welcome. Advice on help with fees freely available.

Hillcrest House is a purpose built home with wide corridores and lots of shared day space. All bedrooms have an ensuite toilet and wash basin. Full nurse call system in all rooms. TV point and telephones in all bedrooms. Own phone numbers available for direct calls. Pets accepted after assessment and we have our own pets.

As much or as little activities as each individual wants to be involved in. We have several visiting volunteers who alongside our activities coordinator help provide stimulation and activities. Baking, Art, Games and visiting entertainment are just some of the activities. sometimes we just go to local beauty spots overlooking the sea for afternoon tea.
