Willett Lodge is an award winning small dementia nursing home located in Worthing, West Sussex. The home offers high-quality specialist nursing care for older people with dementia/Alzheimers or similar, in a relaxed, safe and homely environment. The homes aim is to look beyond a persons Dementia and see the real person.
It is very able to provide care for older people with behaviours that challenges and regularly gets referrals from the Mental Health team at West Sussex County Council. The home has also won contracts with WSCC
The home has single and double rooms (for husbands and wives to share), some en-suite facilities. There is also two spacious lounge areas and a pleasant sun lounge. The main lounge and the sun lounge has direct access to their garden area.
All their food is freshly prepared on a daily basis and there is a four-week menu to choose from. Special diets can be catered for. Generally twice a year they have a food tasting event where all the residents, families and friends are invited to taste different cuisines. The best ones are added to their menu.
The Homes dedicated staff are given regular training to ensure quality care. The training is provided in house to ensure it is person centred. The homes manager is highly trained. He is a registered nurse, Dementia friend and a dementia mapper and is know to be able to work with people who have been rejected by other homes as not manageable.
The home has achieved a GOOD rating by CQC for many years.
