Caer Gwent
Location and contact details
Caer Gwent in Downview Road, Worthing, received a 'good' rating following a recent inspection (April 2017) by the Care Quality Commission. The home is one of Guild Care’s three care homes with nursing and is located away from the road in quiet landscaped gardens used by residents.
The remodelled manor house in West Sussex has undergone a major transformation and has revolutionised the notion of retirement living; offering five star service and luxury for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
Many of the rooms open out around the beautiful gardens and are light and spacious with en-suite bathrooms and sumptuous soft furnishings. The dining rooms and lounges are sunny and cheerful and first class care is available to residents who require additional help.
Catering is exceptional with a choice of fresh food prepared daily and a home-cooked, nutritionally balanced menu developed in consultation with residents. Special diets and a menu for frail residents have been a great success.
Residents at the home enjoy a wide range of social activities including personalised shopping trips, outings and visits. Families drop in at any time and can also stay for lunch and dinner.
There are a wide range of daily activities for those more active but everyone is included in events at the home including fun days and garden parties if they want to be. Caer Gwent residents have their own hairdresser and benefit from complimentary physiotherapy and aromatherapy sessions.
