St Augustine's Care Home
Location and contact details
Our service in Surrey provides 24 hour residential care and support for 52 elderly people, including those with varying levels of dementia related illnesses. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely, and residents are encouraged and enabled to maintain independence in their daily lives for as long as they possibly can.
The home has its own Roman Catholic chapel, with daily mass and a monthly Church of England service. A team of resident nuns work as volunteer helpers to provide additional support for people who use the service.
With mainly individual rooms, St. Augustine’s offers a large well furnished, comfortable communal lounge opening directly onto vast well established secure gardens, which the residents can walk around at their leisure. Features in the garden include a sensory garden with water feature and a grotto. Ample outside seating is provided to allow residents and their visitors to enjoy the grounds when the weather permits. There is also a communal dining room and in line with the Home’s religious history the Home has its own beautiful Chapel.
Frequent visitors are actively encouraged and receive a warm welcome from Carers, Sisters and residents alike. The Home holds many functions throughout the year to which friends and families are invited, and in particular the annual summer barbeque is well attended and enjoyed by everyone involved.
