Woodstock Dementia and Residential Care Home
Location and contact details
Woodstock Residential Care Centre is a specialist home providing 24-hour residential care for the frail elderly, including those with a diagnosis of dementia. This attractive accommodation offers excellent amenities. All rooms have a nurse call system. Lounges and communal areas are pleasantly furnished with plenty of natural light and quiet areas for rest and reading. Residents also have access to the peaceful secure garden with seating and flower beds.
The home comprises accommodation for residents in a combination of individual and double ‘companion’ rooms, as well as a separate dementia unit. There is a summer house/ café and an ice-cream/ snack van. Everything possible is done to create a home-from-home environment to help people live as independently as possible.
Residents enjoy a full and varied activities timetable, seven days a week and enjoy regular trips out to local restaurants and the seaside.
The home is situated in a quiet residential area two miles from the station and town centre, with ample parking and access to buses, road links and the beautiful Kent countryside. The home is also only a mile away from the local craft centre which has a lovely restaurant and serves all local-grown food and displays of art by local artists.
The residents and their families enjoy regular barbecues in our large garden (weather permitting of course) and we have regular entertainers, dance and music groups, and chair-based exercise classes.
Ladies and gents can enjoy arts and crafts sessions, music-themed activities, board games, film afternoons and much more – there is something to suit everyone.
All of the dedicated staff are NVQ trained or working towards completion, and the company believes passionately that it is the right of every elderly person to be treated with dignity, privacy and respect.
