The purpose-built Care Home is organised across three floors with spacious living accommodation comprising several smaller lounges and dining areas. Like all HC-One care homes, Melbury Court is decorated throughout to the highest standard. The bedrooms are large and well-equipped and all come with en-suite facilities, some offering their own shower. All the facilities you might expect and some you might not, such as plasma televisions in the lounges and in some of the bedrooms, a beauty salon, direct dial telephones to every room, unlimited WiFi access and a Nintendo Wii.
As well as having a beautiful interior, Melbury Court boasts fabulous landscaped gardens and outside sitting areas for residents to enjoy the fresh Durham air.
The Lumley Wing – The lower ground floor of Melbury Court is an exclusive respite wing for elderly people who aren’t quite ready to move into a home but who need a little bit of rest and recuperation. The exclusive package includes: your own front door with direct access to the gardens from your fully furnished bedroom, a plasma screen television and DVD player, and complimentary toiletries and newspapers.
Nursing at Melbury Court - In their 24 bed nursing wing at Melbury Court your loved ones will be cared for by fully qualified RGNs, who will prepare individual care plans to ensure that they provide the highest quality of care that is specific to your needs. The bedrooms are large and well-equipped and all come with en-suite facilities.
