Brandon Lodge Care Home is located in Brandon Village just outside of Durham.

The home has good transport links into the centre of Durham for residents who wish to take in the local culture.

Brandon Lodge is a modern, two-storey home with light and airy spaces throughout. Residents have a choice of three lounges to choose from for relaxing and socialising whenever they please.

The home offers various care depending on each individual's needs. Residential care and nursing care are available here for both short and long periods of time.

Brandon Lodge is able to provide nursing, palliative, end of life care and short stay respite care for elderly clients. The home is staffed by nursing and care staff over a 24 hour period and has excellent links with the local GP's, Nursing Services, Marie Curie Nurses and other healthcare professionals in order to provide the best service possible to the residents within Brandon Lodge.

Brandon has 38 single bedrooms, 37 of which have        en-suite facilities including WC and basin. Each room has a TV point and an Emergency Nurse Call point which enables a resident to summon assistance.

Brandon is able to accommodate couples within the Home and this can be discussed in more detail at the time of enquiry.

The staff at Brandon will encourage all of our residents to personalise their room by having familiar pictures, photographs and possessions around them.

Brandon is set over 2 floors with a lift enabling residents and visitors access to the 1st floor of the home. The Home has a well tended secure garden area to the rear of the building and residents and their relatives are welcome to use this space.  There is also a smoking area situated externally for those residents who choose to smoke.  There are TV lounges or a quiet lounge for use by residents.

Brandon is situated approx 3 miles from Durham City and Brandon has access to the main bus route.

Brandon has good links with the local churches who visit the Home to enable residents to continue to worship in their chosen faith. This forms part of the Activity programme which is displayed within the reception area.

The Home has a visiting Hairdress, optical, dental and chiropody services.

Residents are able, wherever possible, to retain their own GP.

The Home is able to provide residents with specialise diets including fortified, puree and vegetarian. This can be discussed in further detail.
